Calcined aluminas ALUMINA-1 and ALUMINA-2

Calcined aluminas ALUMINA-1 and ALUMINA-2 are white powders which are obtained by calcining of aluminium hydrate grade H-80.

Both aluminas are of high purity products, which differ each other -for example - in the degree of calcination.

The alfa-Al2O3 content of ALUMINA-1, calcined at high temperature, is 92 - 96 %, while ALUMINA-2 has an alfa-Al2O3 content of 20 - 30 %.

Because of the difference in physical characteristics the field of application are not the same for ALUMINA-1 and ALUMINA-2.

ALUMINA-1 can be used in the manufacture of white fused alumina, fused cast refractory blocks, refractory ceramic fibres and other refractory products as well as porcelain insulators.

ALUMINA-2 can be used mainly for producing of refractory cements, refractory blocks, monolithic refractory materials, alumina based ceramic fibres, ceramic and other refractory products.
